Each time you call or you are at the service department you are asked detailed questions while your prior records from years past are being reviewed. This is to assist us with guiding you in maintenance recommendations, or to prepare the technician with all the vital information needed for the repair. Your engine serial numbers are run each and every time to verify warranty status and to see if the manufacturer has issued any recent service bulletins. If anyone has ever told you, “It isn’t all about you!” They are wrong, because here at Atlantic Boats’ Inc. it is ALL ABOUT YOU!
Our service staff fully explains the reasons for certain recommendations and we do not try to “up-sell” unnecessary services as regular maintenance is paramount to the longevity of any motor. Most of our customers are familiar with our on-line spring and fall “checklists” that itemize the winterization and spring commissioning services that they can check off and email or fax in with a date for pick up or launch. If we feel that there is an important service that is missing from your checklist, we will call and discuss this with you.
If you are a new customer we begin a new file to get a starting or reference point and build a lasting relationship from there. Any budget can be worked with and we want you to feel comfortable when you are speaking with us. Once we estimate a job, if ABI does go over the estimate, we are responsible for anything above and beyond the original estimate, not you.
We take pride in all of our team members in service. Our painters are certified; and yes there are specific techniques and processes to properly paint a boat. All of our marine mechanics are certified and they continue their education and certifications every year. We keep our employees year round and are proud to train and promote from within; as there is nothing more satisfying than seeing the dynamics of a well-oiled process and culture come together. The average tenure of our staff is at least 10 years!
